Scholarship Labs   is comprised of school librarians and media specialists who volunteer as curators and conservators of the scholastic web. In previous decades, our resource collections were finite and we knew our card catalog backwards and forwards; nowadays, modern technology provides us with a seemingly infinite inventory of educational resources. Unfortunately, there simply are no comprehensive card catalogs for the internet and, sadly, many untapped resources go undiscovered by most teachers.

Language Immersion is a very simple, but highly useful, extension for Google Chrome. Learning a language is all about practice, which is precisely what Language Immersion lets you do. The add-on randomly translates parts of whatever you are reading online, using Google Translate. Bibme    is a free automatic citation creator that supports MLA, APA, Chicago, and Turabian formatting. BibMe leverages external databases to quickly fill citation information for you. BibMe will then format the citation information and compile a bibliography according to the guidelines of the style manuals. If you prefer, you can enter your citation information manually. BibMe also features a citation guide that provides students with the style manuals' guidelines for citing references.

Quizlet  Study and learn Vocabulary,  (Free or $15.00 per year, but worth it.)  You can create your own sets of words for your own specific purpose, or you can incorporate sets of words from other people who have made their work public.   1. Language Immersion add-on for Google Chrome   If you use Google Chrome, there’s a nifty little add-on you might want to check out, called Language Immersion for ChromeIt’s built using Google’s automatic translation services, so you can select from 64 different languages. It also allows you to select a level of fluency (from beginner to fluent). The add-on takes whatever website you're looking and randomly replaces words with your foreign-language equivalent.  Clicking on them changes them into English, and hovering over them will give you a pronunciation.
